HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT

The Institute’s inception traces back to the visionary initiative of Prof. Dr. Monday Anyairo, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, CBAP®, CKMP® a Nigerian luminary. His foresight led to the conceptualization and establishment of the Institute, driven by the mission to champion and promote a global professional certification body dedicated to advancing the disciplines, practices, and professions of Business Administration and Knowledge Management, both within Nigeria and on a global scale.

Presently, the Institute has successfully expanded its reach and influence, boasting a robust membership network spanning six continents: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas. This global footprint is a testament to the Institute’s commitment to fostering excellence in Business Administration and Knowledge Management across diverse regions and cultural landscapes.

ESTABLISHMENT LEGAL MANDATE

The Institute is legally vested with the authority to proactively promote, advance, and champion the art and science of Business Administration and Knowledge Management in all its aspects and ramifications. It is empowered to organize and conduct a spectrum of educational activities, including training, workshops, seminars, conferences, and more. These initiatives are specifically designed to enhance human capital development in the area and field of Business Administration and Knowledge Management, as well as related subjects, courses, and disciplines.

Furthermore, the Institute is authorized to confer certificates of proficiency and certificates of attendance, thereby acknowledging and validating the successful completion of its programs. This legal mandate underscores the Institute’s commitment to fostering expertise, knowledge dissemination, and professional growth in the fields of Business Administration and Knowledge Management.

ACCREDITATION AND RECOGNITION

The Institute is duly established in accordance with the Laws of the Federation of Nigeria and holds the approval of the Federal Ministry of Education. In furtherance of its commitment to excellence, the Institute has forged a strategic partnership with the National Youth Service Corps Directorate Headquarters, specifically for Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED).

Moreover, the Institute’s qualifications carry notable recognition, including acknowledgment by the Obafemi Awolowo University Postgraduate College, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, among other reputable institutions. This network of accreditations and recognitions attests to the Institute’s adherence to rigorous standards and its dedication to fostering educational and professional advancement within the Nigerian and global contexts.

GLOBAL PRESIDENTS

Dr. Wilson Fyffe, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, an Australian-born professional, holds the esteemed position of President & Founder of Amplios Consultants Pte Ltd. He brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the President Director of KPMG International Consultants and as a Managing Consultant at Coopers and Lybrand Australia/Indonesia. Dr. Fyffe served as the Pioneer President.

Dr. Gangadhar Joshi, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, an Indian-born luminary, currently holds the distinguished roles of Founder and CEO of Gangadhar Joshi & Associates. With a robust background as the former President Director of renowned B-Schools in India and Team Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers in India and the West Indies, Dr. Joshi assumes the pivotal position of Global President and Chair of the International Advisory Council.

Accompanying Dr. Joshi in leadership is Prof. Dr. Monday Anyairo, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, CBAP®, CKMP®, a Nigerian-born visionary and Founder. Prof. Anyairo serves as the Global Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, concurrently holding the esteemed position of Global Chairman of the IBAKM® Global Associations and Societies. Together, they form a dynamic trio at the helm of global leadership, steering the organization towards excellence. Prof. Dr. Monday Anyairo currently holds the distinguished roles of Global President and Founder of World Innovators University (WIU®) as well as Global Chief Executive Officer of World Innovators and Education Management Organization (WIEMO®).

GLOBAL COMPANIONSHIP AWARD

The prestigious title of Global Companion of the Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (CIBAKM), the highest global membership honor, was ceremoniously bestowed upon Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo, CIBAKM. Dr. Oyedepo, a distinguished figure, serves as the Presiding Bishop and Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (commonly known as Winners Chapel) and holds the esteemed positions of Chancellor at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, and Landmark University, Omuaran, Kwara State, Nigeria.

This significant accolade was presented to Dr. Oyedepo on November 9, 2022, during the 3rd Annual International Conference on Business Administration and Knowledge Management (3AIC-BAKM®). The event took place at the Covenant University Centre for Research, Innovation and Discovery (CUCRID) and African Leadership Development Centre (ALDC) in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. The conference was held in collaboration with Eudoxia Research University, New Castle, USA, and Eudoxia Research Centre, New Delhi, India. The conferment of this award underscores Dr. Oyedepo’s outstanding contributions to the fields represented by the Institute on a global scale.

GLOBAL AMBASSADOR AWARD

The Global Ambassador Award was bestowed upon Dr. Gangadhar Joshi, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, and Prof. Dr. Monday Anyairo, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, CBAP®, CKMP®, on November 9, 2022, in recognition of their unwavering passion and dedication to the global advancement of the Business Administration and Knowledge Management professions and practices. This distinguished honor was conferred during the 3rd Annual International Conference on Business Administration and Knowledge Management (3AIC-BAKM®), which took place at the Covenant University Centre for Research, Innovation and Discovery (CUCRID) and African Leadership Development Centre (ALDC) in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The conference, held in collaboration with Eudoxia Research University, New Castle, USA, and Eudoxia Research Centre, New Delhi, India, served as the backdrop for recognizing Dr. Joshi and Prof. Dr. Anyairo for their outstanding contributions to the global landscape of Business Administration and Knowledge Management. The Global Ambassador Award reflects their commitment to excellence and leadership in these crucial professional domains.

DISTINGUISHED FELLOWS

Her Excellency, Dame Dr. Patience Faka Jonathan, FIBAKM, the former First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was honored with the Doctoral Fellowship of the Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (Dr.FIBAKM) during the 2nd Annual International Conference on Business Administration and Knowledge Management (2AIC-BAKM®). This significant event, conducted in collaboration with Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, transpired in August 2021. The list of Fellowship Awardees also includes esteemed individuals such as Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, the former Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Mr. Emmanuel Okas Wike, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, the former President and Chairman of Council at the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Distinguished Senator Magnus Abe, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, a former Board Member of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Sir Celestine Ngozichim Omehia, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, the former Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nigeria, and Hon. During the 1st Annual National Conference on Business Administration and Knowledge Management (1AIC-BAKM®), which was conducted in collaboration with the University of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, the former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was conferred with the Fellowship Award. Other recipients during this conference included Prof. Abdul-Rasheed NA’Allah, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof. Okechuku Onuchuku, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, the Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, FIBAKM, FCBA, FCKM, the Founder/President of Al-Ansar Foundation and Chancellor of Al-Ansar University, and the pioneer Permanent Secretary (Special Duties) at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, among others.

In a Special Membership Investiture, Induction, and Certification (SMIIC) ceremony held on December 2, 2023, at the Institute Administrative Office and Training Centre in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, Dr. Bethran Uzodinma, FIBAKM, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Fratelo Group of Companies Nigeria, was honored with the Doctoral Fellowship (Dr. FIBAKM). His Majesty, (Professor) Atte Timothy Oloruntoba, FIBAKM, MS, MD, DO, PhD, CPI, CTA, CSS, CFR, cfs+, pc+, mni, The Olofin Oluokun of Ancient Okunland, Kogi State, Nigeria, and His Royal Highness, Eze Sir Mathew Chiedoziem Nwokoma, FIBAKM, KSC, JP, MPA, The Okaa Omee IV of Umuokanne, Ancient Kingdom, Ohaji/Egbema, Imo State, Nigeria, were both recognized with the prestigious Fellowship Award.

It serves the purpose of networking, knowledge sharing, research and development, as well as championing awareness and publicity of IBAKM® membership, training, and certification programs through the establishment of Branches, District Societies, and Chapters.

WiBAKM® | Women in Business Administration and Knowledge Management

The Women in Business Administration and Knowledge Management (WiBAKM®) is strategically created as the Institute’s Women’s Forum, focusing on the interest, welfare, career development, and advancement of female Business Administration and Knowledge Management professionals, practitioners, and consultants.

IJBAKM® | International Journal of Business Administration and Knowledge Management

The International Journal of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (IJBAKM®) – also known as The Global BA and KM Journal – with Print ISSN: 2811-1931 and Online ISSN: 2814-0079 is a global journal and trademark of the Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (IBAKM®). It aims to educate, advance, and promote the Business Administration and Knowledge Management profession and practice.

YBAKMC® | Young Business Administrators and Knowledge Managers Competition

The Young Business Administrators and Knowledge Managers Competition (YBAKMC®) is strategically created to promote excellence and innovation among young BA and KM professionals and aspiring professionals.

ABAKMS® | Association of Business Administration and Knowledge Management Students

The Association of Business Administration and Knowledge Management Students (ABAKMS®) is the Institute Students’ Forum strategically created for the mobilization of prospective students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in recognized/accredited tertiary institutions. It caters to those studying towards Business Administration, Knowledge Management, and related disciplines academic qualifications, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Corps Members, as well as candidates studying towards the Institute’s professional qualifications at various Accredited Tuition Centres, Approved Learning Centres, Partners, and Institutions.

IBAKM® Global Business School

The IBAKM® Global Business School is the strategic training arm of the Institute. The mission of IBAKM® Global Business School is to bridge the knowledge gap in the study and practice of Business Administration and Knowledge Management. It provides an innovative platform for expanding knowledge horizons through Combined Honours Programmes (CHP), Professional Diploma Programmes (PDP), Global Executive Education Programmes (GEEP), Creative and Innovative Enterprise Programmes (CIEP), and Continuing Professional Education and Development (CPED).

Global Collaboration:

To liaise, partner, and collaborate with institutions, organizations, establishments, etc., both nationally and internationally, with the aim of promoting ethical practices and professional standards in the Business Administration and Knowledge Management professions.

Policy Contribution:

To contribute to policy formulation at all levels, including Local, State, National, and International, for the sustainability of good governance, economic growth, industrial rejuvenation, etc.

Incidental Actions:

To undertake all such other activities as may be considered incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
